Hi everybody,
I published my 36th review ("The odd life of a young sparkleraptor": www.amazon.com/review/R2BSHHZ5โฆ ). I'd really appreciate it if you'd read said review & vote "Yes" after "Was this review helpful to you": For 1, I want to make sure it gives a good idea of what to expect; For another, it needs all the "Yes" votes it can get to make up for being outnumbered by the opposing reviews (which don't give a good idea of what to expect). Many thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Herman Diaz

SD: My Nothing but Dinosaurs! experience
I originally wasn't planning on posting anything here this month, let alone posting about another bad experience w/a dino-related FB group (For my 1st bad experience: https://www.deviantart.com/jd-man/journal/SD-My-Paleontology-Education-experience-781626957 ). Long story short, "Nothing but Dinosaurs!" was mostly OK until 3/7/24, when I realized that the admins were being MUCH more strict w/my most recent post ( https://www.deviantart.com/jd-man/art/Review-updates-105-and-106-1021305155 ) than they were w/other members' posts.* As you can see below, I messaged 3 of them about that, yet only 1 replied & he was very unreasonable. Therefore, I recommend avoiding "Nothing but Dinosaurs!" as it's not worth the headache. If you're already a member, don't be surprised if the same thing happens to you. *In reference to "mostly": AFAICT, there wasn't as much discussion there compared to my other groups; Also, as alluded to in Part 4, there are WAY too many uncredited paleoart posts for my
SD: Happy National Avian Dino Day 2024!
Hi everybody! I originally wasn't planning on posting anything here this month. However, while on Christmas/New Year's holiday, I visited the Trevor Zoo for the 1st times in many years ( https://www.instagram.com/p/C1lbhZrMfbr/ ). In honor of National Bird Day ( https://www.avianwelfare.org/nationalbirdday/ ), I wanna share my mementos of said times (+ a Youtube comment) w/you. Cheers, Herman Diaz Memento #1) The "Across The Pond: Trevor Zoo at 75" DVD (Front: https://archive.ph/CGXOL/9e40873a4ea00c24f93bb8d0969ae403ccf4ef90.jpg ) (Back: https://archive.ph/jjBtz/dd8428abf957770b59378f669ff58e60522947ed.jpg ): Like my favorite dino museum books ( https://www.deviantart.com/jd-man/journal/SD-Top-4-natural-histories-of-dinos-758236511 ), this DVD is not the same as visiting the zoo in person, but it IS the next best thing, maybe even better when it comes to historical behind-the-scenes stuff ๐ (E.g. This bonus feature clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25pc8XCYk8o ). Furthermore
Career activity update #3.5 (It's a big 1)!
Hi everybody! As you may remember, my last career activity update was back in 4/2020 ( https://www.deviantart.com/jd-man/journal/Career-activity-update-3-It-s-a-big-1-839828282 ). Since then, Covid-19 happened (which ended the Gallery SPARK program), I left Whole Foods, & I got my current job as a Bartell Drugs Cashier (+ a temporary Admissions job for Pacific Science Center's "Hockey: Faster Than Ever" exhibition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq_kTHwV3kE ). Also, in addition to adding to/editing the Interpretation parts of said update, I've since collected my thoughts on the non-dino exhibits in "Fossils Uncovered" (specifically, how I'd help friends/family interpret them, which is the main reason for this update). 1 more thing of note: When I say this/these/here, I'm pointing to something. Cheers, Herman Diaz This is where the Archeology Gallery splits from the Paleontology Gallery. Many ppl think of archeology & paleontology as being the same thing, but they're not (*define
SD: Jurassic Park dinos then and now
Hi everybody! AFAIK, there's no 1 place online for comparing the dinos in "Jurassic Park" & "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" (henceforth JP & JP2) to their real-life counterparts both as we knew them then (in the 1990s) & as we know them now (post-"Jurassic World"), hence this journal entry: For then, I downloaded the following images from Zebest's "2-D Dinosaurs" ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/orinrobertjohn/sets/72157594252701883/ ) & uploaded them here; Said images are originally from Wallace's "Familiar Dinosaurs", 1 of the best children's natural histories of dinos ( https://www.deviantart.com/jd-man/journal/SD-Top-4-children-s-natural-histories-of-dinos-924726008 ); For now, I linked to Lanzas's "Jurassic Word dinosaurs VS Originary Dinosaurs"; Lanzas also has a DeviantArt (hence the cover image, which is my favorite example of his JP-related work: https://www.deviantart.com/mariolanzas/art/VELOCIRAPTOR-Jurassic-Park-and-other-relatives-945855334 ).
